The Musical Luck of Daniel Knox

Daniel Knox is a self-taught musician and songwriter who works as a film projectionist at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago. His work there has allowed him to see a lot of fantasies on the big screen. But it has also helped fulfill one of Knox’s dreams: the chance to play the theater's organ in front of a full house that included filmmaker David Lynch. For Chicago Public Radio, Jacob Daniel Anderson tells the story of a very fortunate man named Daniel Knox.
